Fascinating place to visit

Cafe Monochrome is a very interesting place to visit as everything is monochrome themed from walls to tables to chairs to decorations.

What I have ordered

I have ordered Earl Grey Lavender tea for my drink and it was nice, the tea they serve doesn't have any sugar in it. Therefore you don't need to worry about any excessive calories you take from the tea.

I have ordered Smoked duck donburi as a main dish as I am very hungry. When they served smoked duck donburi, my mouth is watering down saliva as it looks way too delicious to eat.

For dessert, I have ordered speculoos waffle with 2 scoops of ice cream on top and shared it with my friend. The ice cream consist of salted peanut butter flavored ice cream and lotus biscuit ice cream.

Both of the ice cream is awesome tasting, but Salted peanut butter ice cream taste the best as it has perfect amount of flavor and the saltiness doesn't overpower the flavor, the richness of the peanut butter is just speechless.

For those who love peanuts, you will love the salted peanut butter ice cream too!

Overall, the experience is awesome and I will rate it 15/10 as the food and serves is awesome than what I have expected it to be.

A sweet life @ Tamago-EN

I came across Tamago-EN last year while I was working at a store one day. It was their opening day on that day I worked, and till now I finally came to the store that I have been wanting to.

I ordered a main dish which is Chicken Stew Omurice and a dessert which is Crème Brûlée.

Chicken Stew Omurice have a butter rice and comes with some vegetable to keep you more healthier rather than all meat.

It has brocolli as you can see, and mushroom which blends in with the sauce.

The omurice goes really well with the sauce as the sauce is really nice paired up with buttery rice and soft omelette. The omurice doesn't make you feel very full or overly greasy that you couldn't finish your meal.

The chicken is nice and tender and well absorb the flavor of the stew which is really nice.

When Crème Brûlée came, I could smell the strawberry's aroma and it has a really nice smell to it, you can smell before it eat them.

Crème Brûlée itself is nice and creamy with a caramel topping, also has a sweet taste. Combine well with strawberry and peppermint.

With a peppermint, it gives you a refreshing taste and a slight mint to it. And with strawberry, it has a slight sweetness from the dessert and slight sourness from the strawberry. It balances it out together really well.

Its a dessert for a sweet tooth like me.

Dinner @ Chock Full of Beans

I came to Chock Full of Beans for my dinner and I am carving their truffles fries too. So I went to order truffle fries, aglio olio with prawns and squid, hazelnut chocolate and drunken pineapple.

Their truffle fries is heaven as it has a strong truffle smell but it doesn't have very strong truffle taste of it. There is Parmesan cheese on it for extra cheese flavor. You just can't have enough of truffle fries if you try it!

Aglio olio with prawns and squid is nice as the spaghetti has an unique taste and light taste, the squid and prawns is tender too! You just can't resist on how tender they are! They also have slight peppery and sweet taste on the pasta and the ingredients.

When I just got my hazelnut chocolate, the first thing I saw was a character named Chihiro from Spirited Away. I'm not sure if you guys have watched it, but I think Spirited Away is quite a nice show.

I find that hazelnut chocolate is quite nice as there is hazelnut taste blend into the chocolate, and it is not too sweet too. Some places I go, the hazelnut chocolate is too sweet or I can't really taste the hazelnut at all.

Drunken pineapple is my dessert of the day. It smell like a sweet pineapple with slight alcohol, but at some point it doesn't smell like alcohol. My sense of smell is confused by the dessert. Due to the slight alcohol smell, this dessert does contain rum in it.

The taste of the ice cream with coconut flakes is:

- sweet coconut flavored ice cream, but not overly sweet

- very fragrant coconut flakes

- coconut flakes does not cover the ice cream's flavor

The pineapple base:

- does not have the sting on your tongue 

- does not have much pineapple flavor than raw ones

- totally goes well with the ice cream as the ice cream will make the pineapple sweet

- does not have alcohol flavor (to me)

I find this place is expensive, but everything is worth to pay for. What you pay is what you get applies on this shop!

Three Litte Pigs

I came to this cafe called Three Little Pigs on 24 Jan while passing by this cafe at Tiong Bahru Plaza. I find this cafe is interesting as the interior looks a bit of Victorian style. So I went to order Salmon Linguine, Green Apple Cooler and Piggy's Milk Pudding.

Salmon Linguine catches my eyes when I was outside the cafe. Because I love eating salmon, and I tried it. Firstly, salmon is nicely cooked, the skin is crispy and the fish is soft. Secondly, pasta cooked just nice and mix with carbonara which does not cover the whole flavor of the fish and the pasta. Finally, the vegetable is raw which makes the whole dish healthier.

Green Apple Cooler has a little minty flavor from the peppermint and nice cooling flavor from the soda drink with apple syrup.

I ordered Piggy's Milk Pudding as it was their Number 1 best seller, so I went to try it. The milk pudding is smooth and it goes well with caramel sauce, coconut shred and coconut biscuit.

I gave this cafe a big thumbs up as their service is very good. But sadly that this cafe is not halal as it sells pork. It was located at 302 Tiong Bahru Road #01-106 (Tiong Bahru Plaza) Singapore 168732.

Sugar lips' tremendous dish

I went to Sugar Lips as I saw an advertisement about it on my Facebook, so I went to try it out! The interior looks interesting as there is paint dripping or scribbling on the wall, concrete chairs and tables.

I have ordered Chicken Quesadillas and Pink Sunrise for my dinner as I do not want to eat too much in the evening.

Pink Sunrise looks quite huge when they first serve me. It kind of surprise me as I do not expect the house specialty extra large drink would be this huge. Pink Sunrise is a grapefruit with soda drink.

Chicken Quesadillas looks delicious and I can't wait to eat it when they serve me. It tastes flavorful and cheesy, it is filling even though it is a light snack.

They also sell different type of cakes, ice cream, waffle and drinks including hot and cold drinks. It would be a great place to chill out with friends and share light snacks, ice cream or desserts.

Chock Full of Beans' strawberry shortcake.

Chock Full of Beans is a authentic cafe fill with warm ambiance to make you feel cozy when you are dining in the cafe. You can come to the cafe with friends and family as you can experience indoor and outdoor dining in the cafe.

Their homemade cakes looks nice and delicious, some of the homemade cakes are only available on weekends. The coffees are freshly brewed and the foods are served fresh too! Teenagers can come here with friends to have some desserts during their holiday and enjoy the desserts and chatting with others.

I have ordered Strawberry Shortcake and ice Hazelnut latte. I have requested Hazelnut latte to have 3D art on top of the drink, the design is really cute! Children will get excited about the 3D art latte as it is attractive and cute to them. The 3D latte art is only for a certain drink only, as it does not apply to all the lattes.

Strawberry Shortcake looks nice and pretty for the appearance, the strawberries topping looks like a ribbon on a box. It taste nice and fluffy when you eat, and the cream is sweet but not overly sweet.

Ice Hazelnut latte has a slight hazelnut taste in the latte, and the latte is not too sweet nor too bitter. If you are ordering lattes with 3D art, it will take about 30 mins to serve as they need time to design the art.

You can order pasta (from 6 pm onward), pizza, sandwiches and much more for you to choose from. Chock Full of Beans is located at 4 Changi Village Road #01-2090, 500004, the buses you can reach Changi Village are 2, 29, 59 and 109.

The opening hours from Tuesday to Friday is 11.30am to 10.15pm and Saturday to Sunday is 9.30am - 10.15pm. They are closed on Monday. If public holiday falls on Monday, they will open from 11.30am to 10.15pm instead of Tuesday.

Coffee Shot's awe-inspiring interior

On 28 October 2016, I went to Coffee Shot with my friend as he is not working on the day. Coffee Shot has been a relaxing cafe where you can enjoy the atmosphere inside and outside the cafe as the cafe uses glass pane to let natural light to come into the cafe.

When I first came to Coffee Shot as my friend introduce me to this cafe, it was a quiet and relaxing place to hang out. It is a good place to have a quick catch up with friends or maybe meeting up your clients for confidential information.

This is the interior inside the cafe, it looks simple yet classic. Usually weekdays, there are a few customers coming in to the cafe during the non-peak hours and enjoy their beverage with their friends and chill around.

I have ordered Royal Chocolate Truffle and Hot Chocolate for tea break as I have already eaten my lunch before I came to this cafe. Royal Chocolate Truffle looks appetizing and delicious and Hot Chocolate has a nice design on the foam. Both of the item cost $6.50.

I would recommend Hot Chocolate to Chocolate lovers, as Hot Chocolate has nice, rich chocolate flavor and it is not too sweet for a chocolate drink. There is Ice Chocolate if you do not like the drink to be hot. There are also other chocolate drinks like Caramel Hot Chocolate, etc.

Royal Chocolate Truffle has a rich chocolate flavor, soft and moist for a cake. Sometimes the cakes that I bought from other cafes, the cakes is very sweet or too much chocolate which makes you want to drink some water after finishing it. But Royal Chocolate Truffle is not too sweet too as compared to other chocolate cakes.

You can also have some light bites, salads, all day breakfast menu and pizza in the cafe for you to choose from other than cakes. The specialties in Coffee Shot are *Irish Coffee, Honey Con Leche, *Rome Holiday, *Chinchulilla and Caramel Con Panna.

Coffee Shot is located at 103 Lavender St, Singapore 338725. It is near Lavender MRT, its a 5-7 minutes distance walk from the MRT. The buses which will come by to the cafe are: 13, 61, 67, 107, 133, 145 and 175.
